To him, a world of zombies will lead to a civilization where everyone feels no hatred, everyone agrees, and there is peace throughout the world. Tragitt makes it his mission to track Dick and his family down to make them "repent for their crimes against God." Dick eventually learns that Tragitt believes that zombies are God's next great plan for humanity. His influence is everywhere and he finds a nemesis in Dick as he doesn't fall for his bullshit and disrupts his plans at every turn. His followers follow his orders and commands without question. Tragitt is a charismatic man who swooned nearly the entire town into supporting him. Tragitt will be the main antagonist for the game if it wasn't obvious. It is then up to Dick to keep his friends and family safe, find a way out of Farnsworth, get word out to the ZDC about the new outbreak, save as many survivors as possible, and find out how Tragitt came to posses a zombie virus and how he intends to use it.
Dan directs the group to an abandoned house he knows about in the mountains where they can be safe. Sharon states that no one can leave Farnsworth and that she was only barely able to send Dick that email without getting caught.ĭick agrees to get Sharon, Scott, Dan, and Irma out of Farnsworth, but as they leave, Sharon's fears are realized as zombies swarm the streets and the only exit out the town is closed off with Tragitt's followers keeping it guarded, leaving them trapped. She found solace in the church, but now confesses that they are planning something with zombies and hopes that Dick would help them as he survived an outbreak before. Sharon confides in Dick that she moved to the town after her and Dick's divorce and later found out she was pregnant. The next day he talks to Sharon and meets her friends and neighbors, Dan "the Man" Thurmond, a 63 year old military veteran, and his wife Irma. Sharon promises to explain everything in the morning as it is getting late. Unnerved, Dick refuses to answer and suspects Tragitt is hiding something, but decides to just get to Sharon's house.ĭick arrives at Sharon's house where he meets her and discovers that he has a 17 year old son, Scott, that he never knew about. He begins asking strange questions about Dick, and tries to pressure him into saying why he's here. Tragitt welcomes him and laments that Farnsworth rarely receives visitors despite its beauty. When he arrives at the town, he stops at a gas station and notices everyone staring at him like he grew a second head and people quickly walking away from him when he asks questions.Įventually he is greeted by the town's preacher, Owen Tragitt. Farnsworth is an out of the way town, but still has a large population. So Dick travels across the country to arrive at her address in the fictional Farnsworth, Utah. He decides to go check it out because he knows she wouldn't contact him for a simple visit. He received a rather strange email from his ex-wife Sharon, who he left on bad terms, asking for him to visit. It doesn't have anything to do with the rest of the games' stories at all, but I thought I'd share.ĭick Baker returns as the main protagonist rather than just a co-op partner. This is just an idea for the story that I would enjoy for a hypothetical Dead Rising 5.
